Works Consulting has gained recognition at national and international meetings since 1996 when development on the Arizona Transportation Information System (ATIS) took off.  The following publications present a reverse chronological look at the topics that evolved to create this robust transportation GIS.

2008 (October) – Arizona Geographic Information Council (AGIC) Annual Conference. Look for a presentation on integrating county, regional, and statewide data into the Arizona Transportation Information System.

RECENT PAST

2008 (June) - Works Consulting presented at the ADOT Environmental Planning Group Brown Bag series. The presentation was titled "High-Definition Photo-Logging with a Portable System/Feature Inventory Straight off the ADOT Photo Log".

2008 (January) - Works Consulting presented high-definition portable photo logging capability at the Arizona Rural Transportation Summit in Casa Grande.

2004 (August) – Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Annual Meeting. Presentation and paper entitled Digital Image Based Photo Log System, Paper 454kB PDF, Slides 528kB PDF

2004 (February) - Works Consulting participated in the HPMS Workshop in San Antonio with three presentations on Arizona’s evolving HPMS data collection mechanisms.

2003 (March) - Look for Works Consulting at the GIS-T Symposium in Colorado Springs.

2002 (June) - Alternate Route Information System (ARIS) Final Report 513.  Report No. FHWA-AZ-02-513, Arizona Transportation Research Center.

2001-2002 (10x per year) - Meetings across Arizona at local government agencies - call 480-813-0570 x11 to arrange a demonstration of the merits of the Arizona Transportation Information System.

2001 (January) - Arizona Association of County Engineers (AACE), Yuma Arizona.  Morning presentation on ADOT's ATIS program to local government officials responsible for county roadways.  PowerPoint slide show, PDF (251kB).

2000 (November) - Governor Hull's Transportation Vision 21 Task Force - Letter of Recommendations for the future of Arizona's roadway databases.

2000 (August) - Arizona Geographic Information Council (AGIC) Conference, Prescott Arizona.  Morning workshop presented by Joe Breyer on behalf of ADOT.  Topic is ATIS Roads.  Geared to the municipal and county government GIS and MIS staff.  More Information at AGIC website.
